Home folder not being mapped??

I am having the strangest issue, some peoples home folders are not being
mapped. I have them being mapped under the users profile, and sometimes its
works and sometimes it doesn't. I am trying to figure out if possible it's
the size of thier home area and that the virus scan is taking a long time to
run. But I just can't figure it out. One user this morning reported that is
wasn't mapped at first then about 3-5 minutes later it was there? Any
suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Try turning off XP's fast logon feature:
