Holidays and Second Calendars

I added a second calendar to Outlook 2007. I noticed that when I try to add
holidays to my calendar, it only adds them to the default calendar. Is it
possible to apply them to my second calendar without using cut and paste?

Also, is it possible to make my second calendar my default one (while
keeping it's name) and removing the original?

Thank you.

Yes it is. You can use Drag and Drop instead =)

No. But why would you want to? It's just a name. Calendar... Tree...
Car... whatever you call it, it's still what it is. I mean, what's the
difference between the second calendar that you've created and the first
one, apart from the name? Nothing, it's still just a calendar folder. =)
But that's just me.

Thanks, but I was hoping for something a bit more automated. Plus, it only
copies for that day, not all occurences of the holiday.

The reason I wanted to do that is a little hard to explain, so pardon me if
I do a poor job. What it boils down to is that I have, somewhere on my
computer, a second calendar hiding somewhere and I can't find it. The result
of this is that when I plug in my ipod and have it sync my calendar, it ends
up downloading 2 different ones (one shows my old work schedule, the other
shows my new one). I had hoped to delete the default calendar for Outlook
2007 just to clean it up a bit (I like to keep things tidy).

That's because Holiday's are not recurring. Switch to the Events view and
just grab all the Holidays.

So why not fix the problem, rather than effectively ignoring it?

Your sync software is syncing two calendars, one with old data, one with new
data.
You say the second calendar is hiding somewhere? So, which one is that?
The old one or the new one?
What data is in your primary calendar, the one you wanted to delete, the old
or the new?
What software are you using to sync?

If this is the whole reason you want to get rid of the default calendar,
lets just fix the problem. I mean, it's not like you can get rid of it no
matter what.

I tried fixing the problem, but couldn't find where the problem was.
However, what I think caused it was that a almost a year ago, I downloaded
the Outlook 2003 Trial. I created a calendar using that. Then, in February, I
updgraded that trial to Outlook 2007 trial. After that trial ran out, I
downgraded back to Office Pro XP. Later, I got a brand new harddrive which,
after reinstalling windows on it, I copied my files from the old drive to the
new one. Next, I downloaded the Outlook 2007 trial to use while I waited to
receive the full version (which I now have).

Now, I'm using itunes to copy my files onto my ipod. If you don't know, it
only copies contact and calendar files from Outlook 2003 and later but the
contact files were sync'd without a problem. For syncing calendar files, it
gives the option to sync all calendars or just select ones. Before I created
the new second calendar (which I call "My Calendar"), I only had a single
option for a calendar to copy ("Calendar"). When I selected "Calendar" to
copy, it would copy 2 different calendars (both an old one and a newer one).
If I selected no calendar to copy, both would be deleted. If I select "My
Calendar" to copy, only that one would copy.

I hope that makes sense. Anyway, I decided to go the route of making "My
Calendar" because I'm tired of devoting lots of time to fix something small
(like this) instead of doing something a bit more enjoyable.
