PLEASE help me. I run a one man business and am about to take my first
holiday for 4 years.
I need to set up my mail, so that any customer e.mailing me next week will
get an automatic response, such a ,"sorry, not in office this week..."
Please someone tell me how to do this,
Many thanks,
Karl

This may work (assuming you are using Windows Vista Mail)

1. create the message that you want to send out (subject and message)
2. click "File" and select "Save As"
3. save as mail message (.eml extension) and remember where you saved it.

Then...

1. Click "Tools" at top of the page then select Message Rules
2. Select Mail
3.Under "Select the conditions for the rule" select "All Messages"
4. Under "Select actions for your rule" select "Reply with message"
5. Under "Rule description" click on "message" and select the message you
created.
6. Give your rule a name
7. Click Apply (or whatever other option you have)

If you already have rules setup you might want to put this one at the top of
the list. You must leave you computer up and running with mail open. You
should also turn off any power saving settings that put the computer to
sleep.

If you can't leave the computer running and you have webmail available from
you ISP you might be able to set something up there.
