Hoe do you attach an attachment to an email?

This is probably a case of operator error however, using vista and the new
windows email hoe do you attach an attachment from Office 2007 or a jpeg so
it arrives with the email at the other end?

New Mail and click on the Attach button?

How do you mean "doesn't work"? It's how EVERY email client that's ever been
in existence does it....what EXACTLY happens when you try?
 
Well you attach the attachment press send and off goes the email however,
upon arriving at the other end no attachment.

Confused as my other email clients have always worked this is a first for me

And does the email in your Sent Items show the attachment?
How big is the attachment?
Can you send the attachment to yourself?

Only a small word doc

And is it showing in your Sent Items with the attachment?
Have you got an AV program that scans outgoing email? If so disable it and
see if that helps.
