Hlp file setup question

Hi,

I have created my own hlp iles. Help file name and # is on each form.

The error message I get hitting F1 is that the context ID was not found
and possible reason is in missing [MAP] in the hlp file?

Any suggestions?

Thank you.

Hi Flemming,

AFAIK you only get this message if there isn't a HelpContextId compiled
into the help file that matches the HelpContextID you set on the form.

Did you include a [MAP] section in the .hpj (help project file) to link
each HelpContextID you've assigned to forms, controls, etc. to the
associated help topic name (i.e. footnote) in the .rtf file?

There's lots of hlp help at www.helpmaster.com.

Further to John's post try the HelpWiki site:

And one of my pages, right at the bottom of the page I talk
about the MAP section:
