HLOOKUP

I am trying to understand the HLOOKUP function. I have read
the Excel Help but with little luck. Can anyone explain it
in layman's terms? Thanks!

you may explain what you're trying to achieve. This would be easier to
explain.

Well, I'm not sure. I'm just trying to learn different
functions in the program to learn it's capability. I'm sur
e once I figure out what the function is for and what it
can be used for that I will find a use for it. Can you tell
me what the function can be used for and possibly some
examples?

Though this explains VLOOKUP you could easily translate this nto
HLOOKUP
