Hi,
My site has a menu on the left hand side which is an add
page element. I used this instead of using frames as I
wasn't sure how to set frames up. When you select a
hyperlink on this menu the content in the middle of the
screen changes, but the hit counter I have also
increases. This happens in Explorer and in Netscape.
Does anybody know why it's doing this and how I get the
hit counter to increase only when people visit the index
page. The url is www.manorquay.btinternet.co.uk

Thanks very much.

Hi :) i am no expert, but can you not set the options on
whoever does your counter stats ? i use bravepages.com
(free of course) and i have multiple options regarding my
hit counter, ie unique hits or every hit, etc.

do your ad's open in a new window ? i dont understand that
bit.

Frames are easy. create a new page, choose what type you
want, ie, header and contents, or header, contents and
footer etc. now create a normal page to sit inside the
framset. ie... header would be called header.htm and sits
in the top frame. another page called contents.htm woiuld
sit in the middle... and so on. once you create the
framset its a very intuitive and you'll have no probs.

just goin to look at your site now.
check again soon :)
