I am trying to add a hit counter to my page. I have Front Page extentions
installed, so that shouldn't be where the problem is. When I add the Hit
counter under web componets and then publish the site, i get a box with a box
with the image that a picture should be there. If i click on that multiple
times, it appears as a 1, and when i refresh, it does it all over again and
is still a 1. Any suggestions as to what is wrong or how to fix it?

Part of the problem is the size of your picture, it's really large. You need
to make it smaller in a graphics application as it's almost 900 KB and
that's slowing everything down. The next thing is to make sure that the
_private directory is marked as writeable so that the .cnt (counter) file
can be updated.

You may need to cross your fingers a bit, GoDaddy has a rather disappointing
reputation when it comes to support of the FP Server Extensions and their
hosting in general.

Hope this helps,
