History Time Line Genreation

I am an author and I am creating a fictitious world. I would like to create
a database to punch in fictional histoical events (to help matain
continuity) and generate a timeline with an output similar to the following:


Y---Y---Y---Y---Y---Y
<EVENT 1 >
<EVENT 2 >
<EVENT 3> <EVENT 4>

Where there are N lines. Any Suggestions on how to genreate this report? I
have a plotter printer that has up to 500 feet so printing landscape I have
plenty of length. I have 2 questions really. A: What is the best way to
generate a time line as shown above and in generating reports how can I get
a near unlimited page width?

Access reports are limited to 22 Inches.

I would suggest getting a version of Microsoft Project (great Gantt charts).
That should work for you.
