Has anyone with Vista been successful in stopping history from showing? Mine
is set to "0 days to keep pages in history", but it does not work.

Any help, anyone? Thanks.

Thanks. I'll try elsewhere for an answer, but it isn't an IE issue. It's
Vista.

XP didn't have this problem. 0 meant 0. How could you possibly get the
meaning of one day (the current day, as you said) out of a setting for 0 days?

Again, thanks.

Just like IE6, IE7 keeps history for the current day when set to 0 days.

Don't know about XP, but in some apps "0" means "forever". If it's the same
way here, setting "0" would mean Windoze will keep your history without
deleting it ever.

In this case "0" means "less than one".

Thanks for yet another def of "zero". Speaking of History and in an attempt
to get peoples' minds of the serious stuff for a moment - 2 questions.
1- -Why are some postings dated 2 or 3 days in the future? Do some purposely
alter their clocks in the hope of being posted longer?
2 - How do postings get so out of order chronologically?

When set to zero days for time to keep history, the typed URL history seems
to be stored for the session.

Sometimes because the poster wants to keep their post on top for a while (on
the bottom for sorting the other way), but mostly because people
accidentally have their clocks set wrong. Occasionally because an ISP has
the wrong time.
