History Problems

I'm having problems with deleting my history.
My history is set to store entries for 0 days, and
accordingly deletes all history entries.
However when I do a history search several items still
appear, and I am not able to delete them in any way.
I have downloaded the Free History Eraser and this does
not help.


Has anyone got any suggestions????
