Historical Data

I work in an accounting department. Each month data is
imported into Access from Excel. The user runs a query to
get calculated results.

The query is tied to that particular table. What is the
best way to house historical data without having the user
change the query each month.

Could you change the query to allow entering of beginning and ending dates
for the result set you want?
