HIPAA Security Compliance for MS Access

Does anyone know if a properly secured MS Access database complies with HIPAA security regulation.
-That is with current Office and Jet service packs installed and MS Access security invoked.

Any documented references would be apprciated too.

I would doubt it very much unless the standards for HIPAA are _very_ soft.
Anyone who can use an Access file can copy it and walk out with it. Once
they have unfettered access they only need a little knowledge or a little
money to get at everything.

If you need _real_ security for your data, don't store it in an Access
(Jet) file.
