hijacked by pop-ups. Help!

Something has insinuated itself on my machine, but I can't find what it is.
I am getting pop-ups when browsing non-pop-up sites, i.e. Google, Ebay,
etc..
Ad-aware turns up nothing Zone-Alarm doesn't see it, and clearing my cookies
did zip. I have messenger disabled in admin-tools. Can anybody tell me
what I'm dealing with?

Check out the other messages in this newsgroup. There could be a number of
reasons. I've found that Spybot will find things Ad Aware will not. Also, Ad
Aware will find things Spybot will not. So, I use both of them to make sure
I get everything. Still, there could be other programs installed on your
computer. Check out Add/Remove programs to see if there is something there
you do not recognize. Also check out your start up window in msconfig to
turn off any programs that start when you start windows.

Go to google and search for pop up stopper made by panic ware. It's free and
will stop popups that Google toolbar will miss.
