Highlighting Worksheet

When I hit the highlight button my worksheet used to highlight. Now it stays white and only the row and column numbers highlight. How do I fix this?
 
If you're colouring the cells, and the colour doesn't appear, the high
contrast setting may be turned on. There's information in the following
