Highlighting row & column names

Using FrontPage 2003 and Windows XP/Home edition. I have a hiking chart in
my website made with a table with 20 rows and 20 columns, any interior cell
of which shows the distance between the corresponding row name and column
name:

Is there a way to have the row name and column name be highlighted when the
mouse is pointing to an interior cell. I am trying to achieve an effect
similar to an Excel spreadsheet that highlights the row and column names when
an interior cell is selected.

Thanks for your help Ron. Because the column names are vertical names, I had
to do those in Photoshop, rotate the name, and then save as a jpeg image.

In that case make a second .jpg image for each column title, using
bold font or different colour, and use the image swap behaviour to
swap them over onmouseover and onmouseout, in the same way.
Would a .gif provide a smaller (Kbytes) image?
