Highlighting <BOLD> based on subfolder contents?

I have generated sub and sub-sub folders under Inbox.
Subscriptions,Buisness, Financial, Personal, etc...on
first tier, then Magazine Name, Buisnesses, Friends etc.
on second tier. I now have about 100 folders for sorting
mail.

My question is this. Is there any way, from the
collapsed view on the folder list, to have a <bold>
(unread/new) indicator propigate up the chain so I can
see that I've got new mail at a sub/sub/sub delivery
folder, without having to have the entire Folder list
expanded?
