How do I get to the highlighter tool in powerpoint 2000?
The help menu indicates there is one, but I cannot find it
anywhere. Help says it is on the "whiteboard toolbar".
Can't even find that.

thnx.

The highlighter that is similar to the one in MS Word does not exist in
PowerPoint.

You can simulate it, by placing a yellow rectangle behind the text (if the
textbox has a transparent fill) or a semi-transparent one over the text.

If you feel this is important. Tell MS that it is a function you think the
next version of PowerPoint should have.

[CRITICAL UPDATE - Anyone using Office 2003 should install the critical
update as soon as possible. From PowerPoint, choose "Help -> Check for
Updates".]

Hello,

PowerPoint does not have the specific capability that you are looking for
(highlight text formatting). However, in PowerPoint 2003 (on Windows XP
Tablet PC Edition) the ink annotation tools are available while editing
slides and can be used to overlay highlighting ink over text (or anything
else you wish to highlight).

If you (or anyone else reading this message) think that PowerPoint should
provide additional font formatting capabilities (strike-through, highlight,
double underline, etc.), don't forget to send your feedback (in YOUR OWN
WORDS, please) to Microsoft at:

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions)
