I currently have windows operating systems XP.

My network is a satellite link.
The RTT is about 500 ms and the bandwidth is 1 Mbps.

In UDP transfers, I can used all the available bandwith.

In TCP transfers, I only get transfer rates of 15 KBytes/s.

How could I enable higher transfer rates in TCP transmission over satellite
links?

Increase your RWIN setting. Check http://www.speedguide.net/ for
details. You can search that site for RWIN.

I have tried TCP Optimizer and usual TCP parameter recomendatios as window
size and it did not work

The data rate did not change at all, even though you increased
RWIN? Which values did you test?

Can you find out whether other users of the same connection get
a higher data rate? How high?
