Hieroglyphics or text

Installing a game I tried to get the readme file.I was
advised to go to Wordpad and got a peculiar form of text:

à?"pO?xÝ)ôÛhO?_ëü^Ý)ô^Ý)ôôkO'9S$____~___,____

I can't work with that very well. Please help.

Hi David,

What is the file name's extension? Is it .txt or something else?
Have you tried opening it with Notepad instead? HTH!
