Hiding tables when importing

KOSTAS

Hi there ,
my question is this : I am using Access 2007 and i have a db with several
tables.
I want people to import to a specific table. The problem is that cause to
people's luck of experience using Access i want to make it as easy as
possible. So i want the option : Choose table (when u start the import
process) to show only one table and not the rest. I tried making the rest
tables hidden but nothing happened. Is there another way ? I read something
about using passwords and this solution wont work for me at all.

Thank you for your time,
Kostas

If they can't choose a table, why even give them the option? if you
want a specific file type to always import to a specific table, create
your import specification and then create a button that runs the
import with a saved file spec to the table you want... check
TransferText/TransferSpreadsheet...

If you really absolutely have to show the tables, you can use a
combobox where you enter the values (as a delimited list or whatever)
and only include the tables you want the users to be able to import
to...
