Hiding rows

Hello,

Is there any way you can hide and unhide rows by using +/- on the lef
hand side of the screen?

I think you are referring to Grouping. Select the rows you want to hide and then go to the Tools Menu > Group and Outline > Group. This will show the grouping toolbar on the left of your screen with the +- buttons to hide and unhide the selected rows

I'm using excel 2002 and can't find that option available to me. Any
ideas?
