Hiding network icons

Hi NG,

does anyone know how to hide the icons in My Network Places / My
Computer. I don't mean drive mappings, but network shares.

I also don't mean hiding the shares - I want everything to remain as
they are but just hide the icons for the end users.

I have tried the built-in GPO settings like "no computers near me" in
My Network Places but you can still see the other computers (and
shares) in the domain.

Hiding the shares would be simple. Why don't you want to do that?

Because that would break some of my software. Also, I can't hide
NETLOGON without serious effects.

So you want to hide every share, not just specific ones. Doesn't tweak allow
you to just remove My Network Places from the desktop? Or maybe I'm
dreaming. It's been a while since I've use it.
