how can I hide selected icons in control panel?
is there any place to change the settings of control panel?

also, how can I hide programs of "Add/Remove programs" list?

Hi, if you are using pro use can use Local Policy. Make a mmc snap-in and
click - User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Conrol Panel. Enable
the Hide Specified Control Panel Applets and specify which ones you want
removed. Bit long winded but it works.

Hi,you can use gpedit.msc from command promt
Firstly go to run and give gpedit.msc .in gpedit ther will be Local computer
policy in that click user configuration, click administrative templates in
that click control panel.there you can hide your icons.i think it will work

thank you all. That was very helpful.
But still i have problem in finding the right "name.cpl" of every program.
also, i couldn't figure out how to hide programs from the list of add/remove
programs page

can you help me please.
