Hi there...

Thought some of you might help here.

After applying a formula to a cell i wish to hide it and
now show it on the forumla bar when the respective cell is
selected.

I knowthis is possible cause I have seen it.

Your guidance will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Brian

Hi
- select your cells with formulas
- goto 'Format - Cells - Protection' and check 'hide' in this tab
- protect your worksheet (Tools- Protection)

Select the target cells

[ Hold down Control key to make
multiple discontiguous cell selections with the mouse ]

Click Format > Cells > Protection tab > Check "Hidden" > OK

Then apply sheet protection via:

Click Tools > Protection > Protect Sheet > Enter password > Confirm > OK

The formulas will be hidden in the target cells

Ok after doing all that my formulas still dont go away. I can even do a simple =K4.

Like WTF

When you're on that format|cell|protection tab, check both the hidden and
locked.

Then protect the worksheet.

Be aware that worksheet protection is very weak. There's code posted here every
day/week that would unprotect the worksheet.

If it's really an important formula, you might want to convert to values and
share the workbook in a static state.
