Hiding desktop.ini files

Hi,

Can somebody help me with this?
I do want to "Show hidden files and folders" and I don't want to "Hide
protected operating system files" (as set in Folder Options). But it would
be very nice to avoid seeing all those desktop.ini files which are
"scattered" here and there. Is it somehow possible to hide files on a per
file type bases?

So what your saying is that desktop.ini files is of no use. Why are they
there from the beginning then?

Not always..sometimes they stay gone.
;-)

(unless you mess around with 'customizing' folders, icons, etc, then you may
have to make them 'hide' again)
