Is it possible to hide an user account from the logon screen?
I'm about to set up an older (850MhzCeleron/512MB) machine for my mother (w/
XPpro, eye candy OFF) and though if I'd create an account for me too, as
admin, but not have it listed at the logon screen...

I know I don't HAVE to use the logon screen, but have her autologon.

But this would be her 1st try with computers, and I'd try to teach her the
rudiments of computer security, re usernames and passwords, unknown mails
and websites etc...

If you download and install TweakUI there is an option to deselect a
user
from the logon screen.
