Hello.
I have a Word document that has some financial information in it, in
one section. I'd like to share this document with people in my
organization as it contains other useful information. However, there
is no reason for them to see the financial information.
Other than just deleting the text in the document is there a way to
hide or shade this information? If there's a way to hide/shade the
information I'd also want to prevent them from unhiding/shading the
information.

Thanks,
Walter

No, if the information is still in the document -- no matter what
you've done to make it "hidden" -- it can be seen by someone who goes
looking for it. It's *much* safer to make a copy of the document,
delete the information from the copy, and distribute only the copy.

There's a lot of information about "personal information" and
"metadata" in Word documents, and how to be sure it's removed:

A lot of this is also relevant to things you just don't want to show
to everybody.
