Each time I print a job, a balloon message appears in the task bar at the
bottom which says "sent to printer....." I would like to hide this message
so that it doesn't keep popping up until I click on the "printer" icon.

Hi Serbo

As far as I know, this kind of message does not come from Word. It is
controlled by the network software. To disable it, you'll have to speak to
your IT department.

Hope this helps.

Hi Sherbo,

Try this, which worked for another person with a similar question. The
path is correct for Windows XP but may be different for other
versions.

Go to Start > Settings > Printers & Faxes. Click the File menu and
select Server Properties. Click the Advanced tab. Uncheck any options
that mention notifications.

If you're printing through a network print server, this may not stop
the messages; then IT will have to get involved.
