Hide or dump recently used file list

Using Office 2003 and Windows XP.

1) Is it possible in code or otherwise to hide the recently used file list?

2) Clear a specific item from the recently used file list?

3) Clear all entries from the recently used file list altogether?

I would prefer to do #1, but if not possible, then #2; if not possible, then
#3.

If possible, could someone please post generic example code on how to do
this? OR explain the steps through the menu, etc.

if you're talking about doing this in MS Access, suggest you create a custom
menu bar for your database, and only include the menu items that you want
your users to have access to.
