Hi, I have a weird case and I need help. I don't know why or when it
happened but now, my task bar seems to stop my internet explorer to
work correctly!

My notification task bar (where the clock is down right) isn't hidding
the inactive icon even if it is checked in the properties. Sometimes,
it just start suddenly and without explication to hide the inactive
icon again. The only problem is that as soon as I reboot my computer,
the taskbar work correctly but I can't acces Internet anymore!! I have
to restore my system and I return from my start point (taskbar not
hidding inactive icon and Internet works)

Maybee it can help but I had to deal recently with the IBM00001.exe
virus recently. I repaired it in the "shell" registry entry and deleted
it and I changed my browser from Explorer to Firefox. I have the same
problem with both browser tough.

I know it's probably a registry error but I'm not a pro and I need your
help please. Thanks,

Charles

Charles,
You had to deal with a pretty nasty bug. Here's a link to a page that will
tell you exactly what to do to completely get rid of the virus. Notice that
Firefox and McAfee are 2 programs that it attempts to stop when it starts up:

http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/trojan.satiloler.c.html

Print the page out and follow the instructions very closely.

Good luck, and ve sure to scan ANYTHING that you download. This bug cam from
a corrupted WMF File. Here's what symantec said about how it gets spread
around:

"It has been reported that the Trojan is downloaded by malformed WMF files
that utilize the Microsoft Windows Graphics Rendering Engine"

Let us know what happened. Good Luck,
Mack
