Hide files in only some folders

Is there a way to hide hidden files in only some of my folders? Or is
this a system-wide setting? I went to Tools/Folder Options/View and
clicked on "Do not show hidden files and folders". I was hoping to be
able to set it for only the current folder. However, even though I
did
not click "Apply to all folders" it changed the setting for all
folders on my system.

Does it work for hiding just one file within a folder? Or do I have to
do the whole folder?

It's a system wide setting.

Search for the "Applying folder views to some sub folders only" topic posted

allows a much better control of folder views. He may be still watching that
topic and you could ask him if it will do what you want. Hope this helps.

It sounds like it won't work for me. I have a hidden file on my
Desktop that I didn't want to have to see. Although I like to see
hidden files in most places, I was hoping to make this hidden file
disappear. The file kind of needs to be there. It is automatically put
there by SyncToy.

Show/Hide Hidden files/folders is not a per folder option so the script
cant do anything.

To OP-
You can use attrib command.

Open command prompt and type:
attrib /?

Good Luck, Ayush.
