Hide a column using a password

Hi All,
How do I hide a column in excel using a password. I am only interested in
hiding that one column alone. All other areas of the worksheet may be viewd
and changed by others

You can't use a password on a single column without resorting to VB but you
can protect that column by protecting the worksheet. If you un-check cells
protection in other columns before you protect then users can still edit
those.
