Hi,

Thanks a lot for those who have gave me suggestions on this newsgroup.

Currently, I have got a new problem on my computer, and total slow down my
computer.

I am running XP home edition, and my computer has an administration account
and three limited accounts. Problems are:
1. After I logon any limited account, I wouldn't be able to open a browser
and to print something. I checked "Task Manager", CPU usage is 100%, and
"svchost LOCAL SERVICE" was 82-99%.
2. When I logoff, an "End Process" "HiddenFaxWindow" window appeared.

However, if I only work at administration account without logoning limited
account before, the CPU usage is about 20%. I am aware that my computer must
have some spareware,or malware, or even viruses.

Does someone know this problem or how to fix it?

Thanks a lot in advance!

John

John,

Have you had any more success in solving this problem.

I am having the same problem, but the difference is that I am using a
cable broadband connection.

I have tried all of the suggestions as far as shutting down all non
essential services, running anti spyware, etc. with little success.

I am using Symantics firewall and virus protection, I have also
downloaded and am running Microsofts new beta antispyware. each
program has located minor tracking cookies, but nothing to explain the
slowdown.

I use MSN and it takes me approxomately 5 mins to log on and retrieve
my email, and about every 5th time I log on, the system freezes and I
have to physically turn off and back on to continue.
