hidden text in a form

Susan

I created a form that contained form fields with some
additional text that contained some information and a
link. I highlighted the text and the link, chose
format/font, and checked hidden. So far so good. Only
the form itself prints, not the informational text or the
link. My problem is this: when I sent the form to a co-
worker for a shakedown, he could not see the information
or the link. I'm the only one that can see the hidden
text. What did I do wrong?

Your colleague clearly doesn't have Hidden text displayed. Many (perhaps
most) users don't display nonprinting characters by default, and this is an
environment setting, not one you can save with the document. But you don't
need to make the text hidden to keep it from printing. You can use the
"Print data only for forms" setting on the Print tab of Tools | Options.
