hidden rows

I have a manager here who has somehow hidden and locked
rows on his excel spreadsheet. He said that all he did
was the row-hide command. All the row numbers below the
hidden rows are now blue instead of black. The worksheet
has not been protected, and the panes are not frozen. Any
ideas? Thanks.

The blue row numbers are the clue that Autofilter has been turned on. To
turn it off go to Data>Filter>Autofilter.

Or another filter:
Data > Filter > Show All
