Hello,

On the file system there is a directory which I can access
from the command prompt by typing: cd %TMP% or cd %TEMP%.
This directory contains a file named epocwind.out. However, when
I do a search no such file is found on the hard drive.

In environment variables these are defined as user variables
as %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temp and as system
variables as C:\WINNT\TEMP.

Why can I not see this directory on the file system?

Thanks,

JG

Is your issue that a search doesn't bring up the file "epocwind.out" in its
results or that you can't see the folders %TMP% or %TEMP% in Windows
Explorer?

For more reliable finding files, you could try Agent Ransack from
