Old Geaser

I think this happened to me a couple years ago. I must not have saved how to
correct it.

When windows opens, just before the desktop opens, I get a full screen
saying, "These files are hidden---etc. I can click the corner box and it
goes. Can some one tell me how to get rid of it? Thanks in advance.

Hi Jon,

I could not find anything wrong in the reg. I opened the start up files and
saw a file that I thought I remembered from before. I unchecked it and the
hidden file warning does not come up. This time I will put it in my Tips and
Tricks book.
The file was :IL:ENG" Thanks,

Bert

Hi Bert

Good that you've pinned it down.

From your previous threads it appears to be related to the installation of
the SoundBlaster audigy program...

[ NB If you try to permanently remove the entry from the registry, you may
need to temporarily re-check that item in msconfig, before doing the manual
removal / running any removal script etc ]
