Hidden drives

Problem:

I have users that are missing their C: and D: drives on the local Windows
2000 computers.

I have checked the group policy for the container in which their user
objects are stored, and I've checked the container that container is in,
etc. up to the top of the hierarchy. None of them have the administrative
template for hiding drives letters enabled...it's not set or unset.

What would cause the drives for these users to be hidden? Where can I
look to find the problem setting?

The registry, NoDrives Value Name , at tip 50 in the 'Tips & Tricks' at http://www.jsifaq.com

Sounds like they have the NoDrives value set in the Registry, use Regedit to
search for "NoDrives". The value is a decimal number which corresponds to a
26-bit binary string.
