Hi

I have a problem. I have a local account with
administrator rights. It has a password set on it, which
I use to log into Windows.

If I hibernate my machine, and turn back on I am asked
for my password to log back onto the machine, as I would
expect.

However, for some reason my password is not recognised! I
have checked all the basics (like num lock on) and even
wrote it in the username field to check it was correct.
However XP wont recognise my password at all.

I have to log in as Administrator (no password), shut
down my session, re-boot and then log on as normal.

Something is amis - any help appreciated!

Adrian

Hi Adrian,

I have not heard of nor seen what you report.
I really am just posting to say that you should get a
password placed on that account you mentioned as
"Administrator (no password)"
Having an admin account without a password is asking
someone to take your machine and make it theirs.
