1) I wasn't aware that WIndows 98 had hibernation (though I've never run
it on a laptop)
2) It appears you picked a group at random - this group is for *HARDWARE*
issues with *WINDOWS XP*. Suggest you visit the optician, and then repost in
the correct group.
Try rebooting into Safe Mode by holding down the f8 key just after the post
and before windows starts. If successful reboot, if not do it again and this
time try to disable hibernation in Safe Mode and reboot once more.
