Hibernation

Can someone tell me how to get my PC out of hibernation without pulling the
plug, which defeats the whole purpose.

You normally just press the power button to boot from hibernation.

That gets you out of the screen saver, not hibernation.

Incidentally, shift or alt or ctrl is a better choice than enter,
because it doesn't provide input to whatever is running.

Shift would be best except hitting shift 5 times seems to alarm
windows, so make it less than 5 times in a row.
