Is it just my in my environment, but if settings are enabled via group
policy, and then disabled this is not reflected in the power options of
the control panel.

yet rsop will show them as applying.

Just curious.

Probably a dumb question but have you rebooted the computer?

yeah I've restarted..

For example the hdd turn off setting.. I have this orginally set to 60
min while plugged in, then I decided to disable this..

restarted..

checked rsop.. which stopped showing it as a group policy... disabled
meaning it no longer applies..

the machine visibly does not turn the hdd off..

but the control panel still shows as being set,

very wierd.
