hibernate error

Beginning about a month ago, my win2k ugrade stopped hibernating. If I force
it to go to hibernate (shutdown...hibernate) it either saye that it cannot
resume windows due to corruption of database or it gives me a BSD after
wiping the icons from the desktop.
suggestions?

Suggestions:
1. Do you have any antivirus software running? Disable it and see if the
problem goes away
2. Run SFC /SCANNOW to resolve any possible system file corruption
3. Are there any hotfixes that have been installed lately? Try to determine
which one(s), re-post a shortlist in this thread
4. Take note of any other changes that have been made
5. Re-post with the exact information provided in the bluescreen error you
receive

NOTE: It is possible that a third-party driver (other than those in the
