When I start up my machine i receive the pop up
c:\windows\system32\MSA64CHK.dll. Does any one have any
idea what this means and how to rectify the problem

Im not a computer expert, but i think that ur pc was
infected by spyware or adware or any trojan. now some
file/s of that spyware is deleted there4 u face this
message.
i recommend you to download the software from the given
link, first update that and then run.

delete any suspected file and reboot ur system.
if the problem still persists, then u can manually remove
that message pop-up from startup.

Click on Start button ==> Run ==> (type) regedit
(enter) ==> HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE ==> SOFTWARE ==> Microsoft
==> Windows ==> CurrentVersion ==> (single click) Run ,
now on the right hand side delete the value that
corresponds to your problem.

Do the same with HKEY_CURRENT_USER.

Note. You must be the System Admin to do this.
