windows mail is crap, i entered the proper ssl pop3, smtp parameters and it
still wont send or recieve mail! for yahoo, for gmail, and for live.com!
please help!

Please supply all the COMPLETE error messages that you get when you try to
get the crap WM working, (millions have it working you know).

Uh, how come it works fine for most other people?

Make sure your settings agree with the directions:
Gmail:
http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=86382

Live.com:
http://mailcall.spaces.live.com/Blog/cns!CC9301187A51FE33!49799.entry
Use port 587 rather than port 25 for the SMTP server.

If you get an error message, copy it and post it here.

Free US-based Yahoo accounts don't have POP access.
