I have a legal copy of windows xp pro. My daughter however magic markered all
over the case and over the product key codes. This cd was never installed. Is
it possible to get codes? And if so how? Thanks a bunch.

try rubbing with a cloth dipped slightly in Olive Oil

Thanks I tried that but its a permenant marker its not coming off. Thanks

Contact Microsoft. You will be able to get the code from them as long
as you have the original CD to quote some details written on the CD.
I have done it in the past, had a customer give the XP book/disk to
their son who ripped of the plastic to install and trashed the plastic
wrap...woops there goes product key !!
