I keep having problems where my computer keeps shutting itself down for no
apparent reason. I am aware that i have a few errors but dont know how to fix
them. I have ran a disk check but it tells me it wont repair them as the /f
paramiter was not set. How do i set it to repair?
I am using win xp home edition.
can anyone please help me?

Disable automatic reboot. Then when the computer crashes, copy down the

Without that message, determining what is wrong is hopeless.

You may have a drive that is headed for the trash barrel.

How did you invoke chkdsk?

To repair errors without scanning the volume for bad sectors, at the command
prompt, type chkdsk volume:/f, and then press ENTER.
