I am building a new computer.
Asus a7n8x E motherboard
SATA Hard Drive
CDRW Drive set as Master
CD Rom Drive set as Slave
I connected the SATA to the SATA Socket
Now I have two sockets on the mother board for IDE devices, Primary and
Secondary. The question is due I use one cable to connect both cd rom
drives and connect it to the primary or secondary or use two cables and
connect one to primary and one to secondary.

Yes.

(you can do either, just make sure the master/slave jumpers are set
correctly) -Dave

Each device on its own channel (cable) would be preferred.
