Please slow down, and take the time to ensure your post is
not too cryptic, abbreviations are hard to read, and most
won't take the time to bother.
It appears you did a side by side install, rather than an
upgrade. i would suggest you take a good look at how you
have your hard drive set up, ie size of partitions.
if you have two partitions, one with me and one with XP
then boot with the XP install CD and format the one
partition with XP, this will wipe all XP files from your
system.
Then you need to get a third party piece of software to
merge the two partitions OR enlarge your current C drive
partition, this is called Partition magic, great piece of
software. After you have accomplished this, and ME is
working OK, then consider doing the upgrade to XP.
I strongly urge you to study up, on the requirements of
installing XP ie hardware/software and how to do it.
before you just jump in, it appears you don't understand
the process, and did it anyway..
Lots of helpful advice here and on Google.com just spend
the time and gain the knowledge.

Hello there... i have a computer in the house that has
W.ME, i beleive its a presario 5000 series. i added XP to
it and now on the start up screen it makes me choose
between XP or ME.. i thought that adding XP to a computer
with an older wesion of windows would just tranfer all the
work adn drivers and stuff adn make the ps just like it
was wen it was w/ ME/ just with Xp on top.. i also have
to drive on it... a dvd rom and cd rom, and the cd rom is
only 3% left in there, but the dvd has all the memory,
when i try and install a program then it tells methat i
have no more disc spase left!! help!! how do i tranfer the
drivers adn everything to xp adn how do i make my drive w
all the space my primary!!?
